About Miami

The Silvercar Miami location is off-site from Miami International Airport. Known as “Magic City,” Miami is home to a vibrant beach and nightlife scene, eclectic street art, and Art Deco buildings along the boardwalk. From its Cuban influence in the city’s cafes, cigar shops, and cuisine, to the bright blue waters of Biscayne Bay and the white sands of Miami Beach, there are endless ways to explore Miami.

Located in Miami’s Arts District, Wynwood is considered the “art and soul” of Miami. The former abandoned warehouse district now breathes with new life. Street murals abound while over 70 galleries and museums display artwork inside. At Wynwood Walls you’ll find the world’s greatest graffiti and street artists on display. Makers, innovators, and start-ups can be found here, along with lively new restaurants and bars. A local favorite is Fooq’s, which offers eclectic menu items in colorful, comfortable surroundings. Expect a fusion of world flavors with heavy Persian-French influences at this farm-to-table restaurant.

And whether you’re in town for business or pleasure, you’ll want to make time for the beach. Miami is connected by a series of causeways across Biscayne Bay to the island of Miami Beach. Whether it’s a family-friendly sandy spot, a nature reserve, or a party spot with cabanas and cafes, there’s a beach that’s perfect for you. For something off the beaten path, Matheson Hammocks Park attracts locals for its numerous trails and boat ramps and is popular for kite-boarding, kayaking, and paddle-boarding. A man-made atoll pool is flushed naturally from the tide of nearby Biscayne Bay. Use the free GPS in your Audi rental to find this beautiful urban oasis. No matter the sports season, there’s likely to be a Miami team playing. The city is home to several major sports teams, including the Dolphins (NFL), Florida Panthers (NHL), Heat (NBA), and Marlins (MLB). Miami is also the future home of the Major League Soccer team that will be led by David Beckham. If you’re more interested in playing than watching, there are also many golf courses and tennis courts, as the south Florida climate makes year-round play enjoyable.
